Regarding bouquets

Flower-kun

We can create them according to your budget!

Alice-chan

As you can also specify the colors, please feel free to contact us with any inquiries.

From bouquets priced at 220 yen (tax included) for use at graduation ceremonies, to 108 red rose bouquets for proposals, we can create them to suit your budget and purpose.

We can also handle large orders of bouquets (for dozens to hundreds of people) for events such as graduation ceremonies, so please rest assured.

*Name tags and wrapping are provided free of charge. There will be no additional fees, so please feel at ease.

Roses are available throughout the year, but their prices fluctuate depending on the season. The main factors affecting price fluctuations are production costs and nationwide supply and demand.

During high-demand periods such as graduation ceremonies in March, Mother’s Day, and Christmas, the price per rose (tax included) ranges from 440 to 550 yen. Normally, the price per rose is between 330 and 440 yen (tax included). Production costs are higher in winter, as growers use heavy oil to maintain a temperature of at least 18°C (64.4°F) inside the greenhouse all day, making roses more expensive than in summer. However, roses last longer in winter than in summer, which is an advantage that allows you to enjoy them for a longer time despite the slightly higher price.

At Flower Shop Alice, we visit and purchase directly from producers and cultivation sites all over Japan, as described in “Collaboration with Production Areas” and “Collaboration with Production Areas (Fukushima Edition).” Please rest assured that we provide high-quality, long-lasting flowers for your enjoyment.

Regarding flower arrangements

The size of the arrangement will change depending on the price, not just the number and type of flowers used. For a 3,300 yen arrangement, it will be approximately 30cm + α (alpha); for a 5,500 yen arrangement, 50cm + α; for a 7,700 yen arrangement, 70cm + α; and for an 11,000 yen arrangement, 1m + α. Please use these sizes as a reference.

Of course, we can also adjust the size according to your preferences. If there are no specific instructions, the sizes mentioned above will be used as a guide.

Alice-chan

We accept arrangements starting from 3,300 yen (tax included). We can create them according to your budget, so please feel free to consult with us.

For more details about the arrangements shown in the photos, please refer to the following related article

Q&A

Can I specify the flowers I want to be included?

Yes, it is possible.

However, there are flowers that can and cannot be obtained depending on the season.

For example, sunflowers are in circulation from mid-May to late September, so we can accommodate requests like “I want sunflowers included” during this period.

On the other hand, we cannot accommodate requests for sunflowers in the middle of winter, as they are not produced by the growers at that time.

In general, growers produce and ship flowers a few months earlier than when they bloom on the streets. For example, cherry blossoms, which bloom in late March to April on the streets, are in circulation as cut flowers from late January. In this way, cut flowers are in circulation a few months earlier than when they bloom on the streets, so it may be possible to include the desired flowers depending on the timing.

Is it possible to have the arrangement made to look like a photo from Instagram, books, or magazines?

Yes, it is possible.

However, there are flowers that can and cannot be obtained depending on the season. We can create a similar atmosphere, but we cannot make everything, including the flowers, number of flowers, size, direction of the flowers, and color of the wrapping, exactly the same (unlike industrial products, even the same flowers have different shapes. This is also the reason why the encounter with flowers is called “once in a lifetime”).

For example, suppose you have a request to make an arrangement like a photo of a bouquet with light pink peonies available in June. If it’s the same season, similar-colored peonies can be included, but peonies cannot be obtained in other seasons. In such cases, we will use alternative flowers, such as similar-colored Larkspur, to create a finished product close to the desired item and color.

The same applies to sunflowers, which are not available in winter. As an alternative to a bouquet with sunflowers, there are large yellow Gerbera daisies. In this way, we can create an arrangement with a similar atmosphere to the photos from Instagram, books, or magazines using alternative flowers, so please rest assured.

I would like to order two or more of the same product, but is it possible to have them made with a different atmosphere?

Yes, it is possible.

Just changing the color scheme can make a big difference in the atmosphere. We can also create it with different floral materials, so please be assured.

We can also change the wrapping to your desired color scheme, so please let us know if you have any requests.

Can I specify the color of the wrapping?

Yes, it is possible.

Our staff also wraps in an appropriate color scheme depending on the occasion and situation, but if you have a preferred color, we also accept color specifications.

Please let us know when placing your order.

How long do the flowers last?

The shelf life of flowers varies by type, but generally, it is determined by the “temperature x time” after the cut flowers are harvested.

The reason why flowers last differently in summer and winter is that the accumulated value of “temperature x time” is different. Naturally, the shelf life will change significantly depending on whether the temperature is consistently above 30°C or below 5°C in the middle of winter (however, if flowers are exposed to temperatures below 0°C, they will freeze).

Based on experience, if there are consecutive hot days with temperatures exceeding 30°C, the flowers will last about 5 days. In the middle of winter, the shelf life is approximately 10 days to 2 weeks. Of course, the shelf life varies depending on the type of flowers and the producer, but the above is a general guideline for “Western flowers.”

The difference between producers can be significant, and the shelf life may vary more than twice as much for the same flower depending on the producer. Our blog article “(Q&A) How long do flowers last?” provides more details, so please feel free to take a look.

Reference prices for celebration stand flowers

Flower-kun

Suitable for store openings, hotel events, etc.

Alice-chan

For office relocation celebrations, we also recommend foliage plants and Phalaenopsis orchids.

The price for a two-tier stand flower arrangement starts from 22,000 yen (tax included). We can accommodate various budgets, such as 25,000 yen or 30,000 yen, so please rest assured. Additionally, the price for a single-tier stand flower arrangement starts from 15,000 yen (excluding consumption tax), and the cone-shaped stand starts from 11,000 yen.

Please rest assured that we will create name tags for free.

We can also handle custom orders.

In the photo below, the arrangement on the left was created as a celebration flower for the opening of an Italian restaurant, featuring the green, white, and red colors of the Italian flag as a motif.

Italian flag
Italian flag

On the right is a three-tier celebration flower arrangement created with all green materials to match the color scheme of a female professional wrestler’s costume for her birthday. The three-tier celebration flower arrangement is an original product of our company.

Furthermore, we added large feathers, LED lighting, and balloons to match the image of her signature move.

We can handle custom orders that are not easily replicated by other companies, so please feel free to consult with us.

Reference prices for foliage plants

We also handle foliage plants such as olives. The olive plant in the photo is priced at 19,000 yen (tax included). It is strong and robust.

Foliage plants have the characteristic of being entirely unique; even within the same species, there are differences in branch structure, trunk thickness, and leaf arrangement.

Our company collaborates with production areas and markets, focusing on sourcing from specific producers. As described in our articles “Collaboration with Production Areas” and “Collaboration with Production Areas (Fukushima Edition),” we visit production areas and communicate with the producers to purchase based on our commitment to the production area and producer, which is one of our strengths.

Although the quality of the same species of foliage plants can vary depending on the producer and production area, we will source high-quality, sturdy plants according to your budget.

Olives are popular foliage plants, and their price range varies from 19,000 yen (tax included) to 29,000 yen. However, even at 19,000 yen, we can provide strong and robust plants like the one shown in the photo above, so please rest assured.

Reference prices for Phalaenopsis orchids

Flower-kun

We also have a wide variety of Phalaenopsis orchids available.

Alice-chan

In addition to the classic large-flowered Phalaenopsis orchids (white and pink), we also offer smaller-flowered varieties called “midi Phalaenopsis.” Please feel free to inquire.

Flower-kun

Midi Phalaenopsis orchids come in various colors and are relatively affordable.

The reason why the price of Phalaenopsis orchids, the king of flowers, is higher than other cut flowers and potted plants is that it takes about three years from cultivation to shipment. Naturally, during these three years, the costs associated with labor, maintenance of facilities, electricity for air conditioning, and heavy oil for winter heating are incurred.

Moreover, as mentioned in our “Collaboration with Production Areas,” if growth promoters are not used, like at Motegi Orchid Garden, it will take more than 20 months for the seedlings to grow, resulting in high-quality and long-lasting Phalaenopsis orchids.

At Flower Shop Alice, we handle Phalaenopsis orchids from production areas that focus on quality, including Motegi Orchid Garden, with the aim of allowing our customers to enjoy them for as long as possible.

We can handle custom orders

The photo in the Instagram post below shows a “Miracle 5 Stem.” We ordered a custom-made 5-stem orchid from the production area, which is not part of Motegi Orchid Garden’s lineup.

Like this, we can create custom orders even for new varieties, so if you have any requests, please feel free to contact Flower Shop Alice.

Phalaenopsis orchids are also recommended for funeral flowers

While standing flowers and pillow flowers are common for funeral arrangements, Phalaenopsis orchids, as shown in the photo below, are also recommended.

One of the advantages of Phalaenopsis orchids is that they can be displayed at home for a long time after the funeral. We will wrap them in a subdued color suitable for the funeral, so please be assured.

We can deliver to funeral homes and residences.

Reference prices for wedding bouquets

Cascading bouquets and round bouquets

・Cascading Bouquet (left in the image): The term “Cascade” refers to a series of small waterfalls connected in a stair-like manner. This type of bouquet is considered appropriate for church weddings. Due to its length, it is suitable for taller women.

・Round Bouquet (right in the image): A simple, round-shaped bouquet that goes well with any dress. This is the most traditional and orthodox style and is suitable for petite women.

Clutch Bouquet

・Clutch Bouquet: Unlike regular bouquets made with bouquet holders, clutch bouquets are made by assembling stems without using floral foam, called “natural stems”. This style creates a natural look and has become very popular in recent years. One thing to note is that because there is no floral foam, the cut ends of the stems must be kept in water until just before the ceremony.

※ Clutch Bouquet & Boutonniere Set: From 7,700 yen (tax included)

For details on making a clutch bouquet, please refer to “Natural Stem Clutch Bouquet Creation and Wedding”.

※ In addition to bouquets, we can also handle various aspects of weddings. For more information, please visit our website’s “Gallery” section and check out the “Wedding Examples”. Also, on our blog, we have a “Wedding” category where we showcase examples of restaurant weddings and floral decorations at wedding venues. Please feel free to take a look.

Stand flowers and pillow flowers

Flower-kun

Here, we provide reference prices for stand flowers and pillow flowers.

Alice-chan

We can also create flower bouquets for vases and grave use according to your budget, so please feel free to contact us.

Flower-kun

The stand flowers in the photo below were taken during the severe winter season, so they contain cymbidiums, but usually, we include phalaenopsis orchids.

We also handle all-white stand flowers

The photo below shows an all-white 3-tier fresh flower arrangement and a daruma basket.

The 3-tier stand flower is an original product of Flower Shop Alice. We use carefully selected materials to create a sense of volume and luxury. The height is about 2 meters. In addition, a nameplate can be added, making the total height with the nameplate about 2 meters and 50 centimeters, creating a large stand flower.

Usually, we create stand flowers with added colors and Western flowers as shown in the photo above, but some temples in Koriyama City specify that only white flowers should be used. Therefore, we have created this all-white stand flower arrangement.

Christian Single-tier Floral Arrangement

Flower-kun

The photo below is an example of a Christian single-tier floral arrangement.

Alice-chan

This time, the customer requested not to include any “chrysanthemums,” including spray chrysanthemums. Therefore, we created the arrangement using Western flowers, including the light pink spray roses called “Fancy Laura.”

Flower-kun

Unlike Buddhist rituals, in Christian ceremonies, names are not attached to each piece but are displayed in a “nameplate” format.

Example of reference prices and types for offering arrangements

Flower-kun

A customer who ordered the offering arrangement in the photo above (5,500 yen including tax) sent us an email.

Alice-chan

This time, since the funeral had just ended, we created it with a calm color scheme. Here’s a part of the email we received from the customer after attaching the image in an email.

I just received a call from the recipient, and they were delighted. I imagined it would be white flowers, but I’m satisfied with the light color and volume. Thank you for accommodating my urgent request.

Flower-kun

The photo above is a Christian offering arrangement. This time, we created it with a white and green color scheme, as requested by the customer, using Western flowers.

Alice-chan

We can also create offering arrangements with Western flowers, without chrysanthemums, like the one in the photo above. We can include the deceased’s favorite flowers and colors, so please feel free to contact us.

Flower-kun

The offering arrangement in the photo above also includes green spray roses called “Mint Tea.”

We can accommodate various religious denominations (Buddhism, Shintoism, Christianity, Soka Gakkai, etc.). Please refer to our website’s gallery section, “Examples of Sympathy Flowers.”

We can also accommodate Shinto-style Sakaki offerings, Soka Gakkai-style Shikimi offerings, and Christian white rose stands. They are all available as pillow flowers, single-tier, double-tier, etc.

We always have a wide variety of cut flowers available. Rest assured that we can handle urgent requests as well.

Flower-kun

Offering arrangements are generally available in a price range of 5,500 yen to 22,000 yen, including tax, depending on your budget. Of course, we can also create arrangements with a higher budget.

We can also prepare coffin flowers and departure bouquets

Coffin flowers, which are placed inside the coffin, can be prepared starting at 5,500 yen (tax included).

There are two types of boxes: a medium-sized box for 5,500 yen, a larger box for 11,000 yen, a set of one medium-sized box and one larger box for 16,500 yen, and two larger boxes for 22,000 yen.

For flowers around the face only, a medium-sized box should be sufficient; for flowers around not only the face but also the upper body, a larger box should be used; and for a full-body (overall) flower arrangement, two larger boxes should be considered.

Bouquets to be placed on top of the coffin (departure bouquets) can be prepared for 3,300 yen or 5,500 yen (tax included). Both options will be wrapped, so please be assured. The price difference is due to the difference in volume and materials used.

We can create arrangements according to your budget. We can also deliver within Koriyama City, so please feel free to request.

For more information on how to order funeral flowers, please see “Funeral Flower Ordering Process.”

Example of single-tiered flower arrangement placement

Starting from the closest to the deceased, arrange the flowers in the following order: child, grandchild, and sibling. This is the most common order, but we can be flexible depending on the family’s wishes.

Next, it is common to place flowers from relatives, individuals, and companies in that order. However, as mentioned above, the order can be changed according to the family’s wishes, so please feel free to consult with us.

“To place in pairs (tsui)” means to place the same name on both the right and left sides of the altar. Therefore, if you place flowers in pairs, you will need a total of two arrangements.

Q&A

Can you deliver flowers to a funeral home?

Yes, it is possible. We can deliver to all funeral homes in Koriyama City, Motomiya City, and Sukagawa City.

Some funeral homes may specify that only a pillow flower and a single-tier fresh flower arrangement are allowed, so please let us know the name of the funeral home and your family name. As for the delivery time, we will inquire with the funeral home and deliver the flowers at the time specified by the funeral home.

For larger quantities, such as cases with more than four fresh flowers, we can deliver not only to Koriyama City, Motomiya City, and Sukagawa City but also to the entire prefecture, so please be assured.

Regarding stand flowers, we have described the types of stand flowers and the name tags in our blog article “Ordering Process for Funeral Fresh Flowers.” If you’d like, please take a look at that as well.

Can you deliver flowers to a temple for a memorial service?

Yes, it is possible.

We can deliver not only to temples in Koriyama City but also to neighboring municipalities, so please be assured. We will deliver the flowers in the evening of the day before or with enough time before the start of the event on the day itself.

How much should I prepare for flowers for a memorial service, such as the first anniversary of a death?

The volume and types of flowers used will vary depending on your budget, but the typical price range for flower arrangements chosen by most customers is as follows:

(Temple Flower Bouquets) For flower bouquets to be offered at the temple, it is preferable to have a certain amount of volume, as the vases at the temple are usually large. Depending on the temple, it would be helpful to confirm before ordering whether only one vase is needed for the main hall or if two are required.

The flower bouquets for the temple are generally 2,500 yen to 3,000 yen (excluding tax) per piece, and 5,000 yen to 6,000 yen (excluding tax) for two. Of course, we can also accommodate prices of 5,000 yen to 10,000 yen (excluding tax) per piece according to your budget, but on the other hand, 1,000 yen to 1,500 yen (excluding tax) for the main hall may be too little. The reason is that the vases for the main hall are quite large, and a few flowers may look sparse.

(Home Flower Bouquets) Again, depending on your budget, the typical price range chosen by most customers for a vase flower bouquet is about 2,000 yen to 3,000 yen (excluding tax) per piece.

Many customers also prefer to have arrangements instead of vase flower bouquets for home use. In the case of arrangements, there is the advantage of not needing to prepare a new vase. The price is generally 5,000 yen to 10,000 yen (excluding tax) per piece.

(Grave Flower Bouquets) We always have flower bouquets for graves available starting from 550 yen (including tax) at our shop, but for memorial services such as the first anniversary of a death, it is preferable to have a certain amount of volume.

The price range chosen by most customers is 1,500 yen to 2,000 yen (excluding tax) per piece, and 3,000 yen to 4,000 yen (excluding tax) for two. Of course, we can also accommodate prices of 2,500 yen to 5,000 yen (excluding tax) per piece or even higher according to your budget, so please be assured.

Can I change the price of a single-tier stand flower to 20,000 yen?

Yes, it is possible.

The single-tier stand flower is usually priced at 16,500 yen, including tax, but we can change the price to 20,000 yen or 25,000 yen, depending on your budget.

We adjust the difference in price by changing the type and number of flowers used. While the standard single-tier stand flower already has enough flowers and volume, we can make it even more luxurious and glamorous, so please be assured.

Of course, we can accommodate changes in price for both celebration stand flowers and funeral stand flowers.

Can you make offering flowers with Western flowers (without white chrysanthemums)?

Yes, it is possible.

Recently, it has become more common to include flowers that the deceased person liked. While it is common to use large white chrysanthemums for altar, grave, and funeral stand flowers, we can also create arrangements with the deceased’s favorite flowers or Western flowers, so please be assured.

However, since Western flowers often have less leaf volume, the same number of flowers may look less voluminous compared to arrangements with white chrysanthemums. In that case, we will devise a combination of flowers and foliage, such as incorporating spray chrysanthemums or disbuds (see the example below), to create both volume and a festive appearance.

We can also create offering flowers in the colors that the deceased person liked, such as “they liked yellow” or “they liked red,” so please be assured.

Saying Goodbye to a Beloved Pet

We can also prepare flowers for the sudden farewell to a beloved pet, who is considered a part of the family.

In recent years, there has been an increase in pet cemeteries and mobile pet crematoriums. We can also provide flowers to be placed in the casket during cremation (casket flowers).

For saying goodbye to your pet, we create casket flowers primarily using Western flowers. Rest assured that we can handle urgent requests and sudden farewells.

Additionally, we can make Western-style vase flowers for offering in front of a pet’s altar. Please feel free to contact us for inquiries.

Flower-kun

The picture above shows casket flowers for a pet, made with Western flowers.

Alice-chan

We can also create Western-style arrangements for pet offerings.

Flower-kun

The picture above is a 4400 yen (tax included) pet arrangement. The customer requested that we include yellow, light pink, blue, and white flowers.

Alice-chan

For this arrangement, we used sunflowers as the yellow element, gerberas and balloon flowers for the light pink, delphinium for the blue, and alstroemeria for the white.

We think it turned out to be an overall soft and gentle arrangement.

Additionally, a blue-themed arrangement is ideal for pet offerings.

Other Notes

  • The materials used for the flowers may change depending on the season. There are seasonal flowers that are easier or more difficult to obtain. Please understand.
  • For information on the ordering process, please also see our website’s “Ordering Process” page.
  • We can also provide decoration for venues and in-store flower arrangements. We have reference images on our website’s “Gallery” page under “Examples of Flower Arrangements” and in our “Blog.” We would be grateful if you could take a look.

Q&A

By when should I make a reservation?

For regular bouquets and arrangements when you visit our store, the same day is fine. We always have a selection of high-quality floral materials, so please be assured.

In case of rush orders, please allow at least 15 minutes for both arrangements and bouquets.

For specified materials and quantities like 100 red roses or 100 sunflowers, please make a reservation at least 5 days in advance so that we can inquire about the production area and arrange for procurement.

During peak times like Obon, Higan, and Mother’s Day, orders can become overwhelming. In some cases, the desired floral materials may be sold out, so the earlier you make a reservation for these peak times, the better (we accept reservations from one week to one month in advance).

During Obon, Higan, and graduation season, there is a nationwide peak time, and flowers become scarce in the market and production areas.

Although we secure a considerable amount, there may be shortages due to inclement weather. We prioritize customers who have made reservations for peak times, so we kindly ask you to make reservations in advance.

Is it possible to deliver flowers nationwide in Japan?

Yes, it is possible.

We will deliver our own products as much as possible.

One of our features is that we visit producers nationwide irregularly while collaborating with the market. We are committed to the quality and the people who make the products, aiming to create products that satisfy our customers.

Regarding “stand flowers” for funerals and celebration flowers, due to the fact that they cannot be shipped with Yamato Transport, we may ask affiliated florists near the delivery destination to handle the order. Please understand this point.

Japan has a unique characteristic of being long from north to south. From the perspective of the flowers’ shelf life, we can ship to locations up to a distance that takes two days to deliver.

In extreme cases, if you request to send flowers to the Ogasawara Islands, it will take about six days to arrive. In that case, we cannot guarantee the quality of the product and must decline the request.

For more information on the number of days it takes to ship from our store to other prefectures, please see our blog article titled “Regarding the Number of Days for Shipping from Our Store to Other Prefectures” .

Can I specify the delivery date and time?

For deliveries within all areas of Koriyama City, as well as some areas in Motomiya City and Sukagawa City, we provide our own delivery service. Specifying the delivery date is, of course, possible.

Normally, we can accommodate specified delivery times within our business hours. However, for special busy days such as August 12th before Obon, it may not be possible to specify a delivery time. In such cases, we will handle your request with a rough time frame, such as morning or afternoon.

For long-distance shipping, we use Yamato Transport’s Takkyubin service. Delivery on the specified date is also possible, of course.

Delivery times can be specified as one of the following: ①Morning ②14:00-16:00 ③16:00-18:00 ④18:00-20:00 ⑤19:00-21:00.

When using Yamato Transport, the image is that we ship the day before and the package arrives the next day. For information on the number of days it takes to ship from our store to other prefectures, please see our blog article titled “Regarding the Number of Days for Shipping from Our Store to Other Prefectures” .

The range of delivery in one day extends from Aomori Prefecture in the north to Hyogo Prefecture in the south.

Could you please tell me the possible delivery times?

Throughout the year, we can deliver between approximately 8:30 AM and 5:30 PM. Our store closes after 7 PM, and all our employees have left for the day, so we are unable to fulfill requests such as delivering a bouquet to a bar at 9 PM.

However, for special events such as delivering bouquets to schools for graduation ceremonies, we can accommodate delivery from around 7 AM. Please be assured.

For the process of ordering via the internet, please refer to “Order Flow in the Telework Era”.

Order Flow in the Telework Era

The “Order Flow in the Telework Era” is designed with the assumption of orders from customers in distant prefectures and other areas.

We also accept orders by phone and fax.

Flower-kun

Of course, you can pick up your order and pay at the store. Please be assured that we can flexibly respond to your needs.
