　本日は、オーストラリア在住のお客様よりご依頼を頂き、郡山市内へお悔やみ用の花束をお届けいたしました。

　ご家族に突然のご不幸があったとのことで、日本にいるご友人へ、本日中にお悔やみのお花を届けたいというご相談でした。
　しかも、お客様は日本語が話せないとのことで、最初から英語でのやり取りとなりました。

　地方の花屋にとって、海外からのご注文自体が珍しい上に、今回はお悔やみ用、しかも当日配達です。
　内容としては決して簡単ではありませんが、こうしたご依頼にきちんと対応することも、専門店としての力の一つだと考えております。

英語で内容を確認し、国際送金にも対応した上で当日配達まで進めました

　今回のご注文は、単に花を作って届ければよいという話ではありませんでした。
　英語で内容を確認し、ご予算、お届け先、花材のご希望、メッセージカードの文面まで整理し、さらに海外から日本への送金方法についても確認する必要がありました。

　今回は、オーストラリアの銀行から国際送金が可能とのことで、必要事項をご案内し、送金手続きが済んだ段階で制作と配達に進みました。

　海外からのご注文、英語でのやり取り、国際送金でのお支払い、そして当日中の配達。
　この一連の流れを、地方都市の花屋が実務としてきちんと回す。
　これは決して当たり前のことではありませんが、ホームページの整備、英語での案内、迅速な返信、そして現場での判断力があれば、十分対応可能であることを今回改めて実感いたしました。

　お悔やみのお花は、ただ白い花を集めればよいというものではありません。
　華やかすぎてもいけませんし、逆に沈みすぎてもいけません。
　落ち着きの中に、きちんと花としての美しさがあり、贈る方の想いが伝わることが大切です。
　そのため、全体のバランスを見ながら、一つ一つ丁寧にまとめております。

距離や言葉の壁があっても、想いは花に託して届けることができます

　今回改めて感じたのは、距離や言葉の壁があっても、大切な方を想う気持ちは花に託してきちんと届けることができるということです。

　国は違っていても、ご友人を想う気持ちは変わりません。
　そのお気持ちを花という形にして届けることは、花屋の大切な仕事であり、単なる商品販売ではない部分だと改めて感じました。

　近年はインターネットやAIの発達により、英語でのやり取りや海外からのご注文も、工夫次第で地方の専門店が直接受けられる時代になっています。

　もちろん、誰でも簡単にできることではありません。
　しかし、ホームページを整え、必要な情報をきちんと提示し、問い合わせに迅速に対応し、現場で確かな花を作れるのであれば、郡山の花屋でも海外からのご注文に十分対応できます。

　今回の一件は、そのことを強く実感する出来事でもありました。
　地方だから限界があるのではなく、地方でもやるべきことを積み重ねれば、ここまで対応できるということです。

From Australia to Koriyama — We Delivered Sympathy Flowers on the Same Day from an Overseas Order

We received a request from a customer living in Australia to deliver a sympathy bouquet in Koriyama City.
This time, we communicated in English, arranged for an international bank transfer, and completed the delivery on the same day.

A request from an overseas customer

Today, we delivered a sympathy bouquet in Koriyama City at the request of a customer living in Australia.

The customer contacted us because a family member of their friend in Japan had suddenly passed away, and they wished to send sympathy flowers that same day.
Moreover, the customer did not speak Japanese, so from the very beginning, all communication was conducted in English.

For a local flower shop, receiving an order from overseas is already quite rare, and in this case it was for sympathy flowers with same-day delivery.
It was certainly not a simple request, but we believe that responding properly to this kind of order is also part of the strength of a professional flower shop.

This order was not simply a matter of making flowers and delivering them.

We first needed to confirm the details in English, including the customer’s budget, delivery address, preferred flowers, and the wording for the message card. In addition, we also had to confirm how payment from overseas to Japan would be made.

In this case, the customer informed us that an international bank transfer from Australia was possible, so we provided the necessary bank details and proceeded with preparation and delivery once the transfer arrangements had been made.

For a flower shop in a regional city, managing this entire process properly as part of normal business operations is by no means something ordinary.

However, this experience reminded us once again that it is entirely possible when a shop has a well-prepared website, clear guidance in English, prompt responses, and sound judgment on the ground.

The bouquet was designed mainly with lilies, together with lisianthus and delphinium.

Because it was intended as a sympathy arrangement, we based the bouquet on white flowers, while adding soft touches of pale purple and blue in order to convey a quiet and prayerful feeling.

Sympathy flowers are not simply a matter of gathering white flowers together.
They should not be too showy, but at the same time they should not feel overly heavy or bleak.

What matters is a balance in which the arrangement remains calm and respectful, while still preserving the beauty of flowers and properly conveying the sender’s feelings.
For that reason, we carefully arranged each element while paying close attention to the overall harmony.

What this experience reminded us once again is that, even when there are great distances and language barriers, heartfelt feelings can still be conveyed through flowers.

From Australia to Koriyama.
Even though the countries are different, the wish to care for a dear friend remains the same.

To shape that feeling into flowers and deliver it with care is one of the important roles of a flower shop, and it reminded us once more that our work is not merely about selling products.

In recent years, with the development of the internet and AI, even communication in English and orders from overseas have become something that local specialty shops can handle directly, if they are willing to make the necessary efforts.

Of course, this is not something that everyone can do easily.
However, if a shop prepares its website properly, provides the necessary information clearly, responds promptly to inquiries, and can create flowers with reliable skill, then even a flower shop in Koriyama can respond fully to orders from overseas.

This experience strongly reminded us of that fact.
